How is epres different from other bond-builders?: Epres Professional Bond Repair is an acid-free, single-step formula that delivers deep bond repair via patent-pending technology. Some of the greatest advantages our formula include:

1) As a vegan, acid-free, zero-quat technology, epres does not affect the pH of the hair—and delivers more diffusion since hair is more swollen at a pH of 8
2) Unlike other bond builders that use solid actives, epres’ liquid actives and biodiffusion technology continue to work even when hair is dry.
3) Our formulation does not slow or inhibit the chemistry of professional services.
When should I use epres?: Any time the hair is in need of deep repair! Not only can our formula be used on all hair types, it also can be used across all services. Whether it’s bleach, straightening, blowouts, perms, detangling, relaxers, or in-salon treatments, our formula’s molecular construct lends itself to great flexibility and performance.
Will the professional bond treatment change my color formulas?: No. Within the haircoloring process, our molecular technology repairs the hair with no change in development time and no dilution to the desired color effect. The results are consistent and predictable.
What if I use color that already has bonder inside?: Testing shows that epres Professional Bond Repair works great with these formulas, and delivers a significant difference in the health of the hair—much more so than just using color with bonder inside.
What if I use too much or too little?: We formulated this particular innovation with plenty of leeway. The more you add, the higher the concentration and the more repair. The same goes for using less.
Can I use heat with the professional bond treatment?: Yes, but as with any heat used in processing, it will speed up the time—so keep that in mind during use.
Should I be charging more for this as a hairstylist/colorist?: With a cost per application of under $1 for 2 pumps of product, that’s up to you! It’s an opportunity to give your client an elevated level of service and a healthy end result. You could take this as a time to increase prices, add on as an upgrade, or showcase how you’re continuing to push the boundaries of your service. We have seen stylists upcharge between $25 to $50, or raise their prices between 15% and 30%, when including our technology in their services.
